Thirteen East Texans were selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association all-state volleyball team in their respective classifications.
The team, which was released following voting done by the TGCA’s member coaches, includes 40 players per classification.

Tyler Lee senior Mallory Kuechle, who helped the Lady Raiders to the first round of the playoffs, was East Texas’ lone Class 5A representative. Lindale senior Savannah Cantrell was the same in Class 4A after also leading her team to a bi-district playoff appearance.
East Texas garnered three honorees in Class 3A: Gilmer senior Shaylee Fennell, Chapel Hill junior TraVeshia Ross, and Spring Hill senior Savannah Voelzke, who guided the Lady Panthers to their third consecutive regional tournament. Fennell led Gilmer to the first round of the postseason.
White seniors Morgan Baldwin and Dorothy Swanson were named to the TGCA’s Class 2A all-state team after leading the Ladynecks to their fourth consecutive state tournament and seventh in program history. Baldwin and Swanson, who helped White Oak win the 2010 state championship, were part of the first Ladyneck senior class to reach four consecutive state tournaments.

New Diana seniors Courtney Rogers and Cheyenne Spell were named to the all-state team after once again leading the Lady Eagles to the regional tournament.
Four East Texans were also named to the Class A all-state team, including Cayuga junior Danielle Anderson and senior Shawnta Knox, who led the Ladycats to the state tournament. Senior Shelbi Dodson was selected after aiding Beckville to the regional tournament. Overton’s Abby Mackey was honored after leading the Lady Mustangs to the third round of the playoffs.
